Pay Schedule

  • Employees are paid on a bi-weekly basis. 
  • Normal work week is 40 hours

Personal Leave

Earned monthly according to years of service (after 180 days of continuous service)

  • General Employee:  
    • 0 to 4 years = 10 working days
    • 5 to 9 years = 12 working days
    • 10 to 14 years = 15 working days
    • 15 to 19 years = 17 working days
    • 20+ years = 20 working days
  • Police Officers:  
    • 0 to 4 years = 10 working days
    • 5 to 9 years = 12 working days
    • 10 to 14 years = 15 working days
    • 15 to 19 years = 17 working days
    • 20+ years = 20 working days
  • Firefighters :  
    • 0 to 4 years = 5 24-hour shifts
    • 5 to 9 years = 6 24-hour shifts
    • 10 to 14 years = 7 24-hour shifts
    • 15 to 19 years = 8 24-hour shifts
    • 20+ years = 9 24-hour shifts

Paid Holiday

  • 10 paid holidays for full-time employees

Group Health & Life Insurance

  • Open access health insurance plan administered by Cigna
  • Life, Dental, and Medical coverage provided at no cost to employees, effective the first day of the month (following 30 days of employment)

Pension

  • All eligible full-time employees are covered under the City's pension plans
  • Separate pension plan for police officers, firefighters, and civilian employees
  • Employees contribute a small portion of their salary to the plan and the benefit varies by plan
  • Employees can contribute to a voluntary 457 (b) deferred retirement plan
