CDBG Program and HOME Program Funds

The City of Kissimmee is expected to receive approximately $896,880 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and $297,812.90 in Home Investment Partnerships (HOME) Program funds for Program Year 2024 from October 1, 2024 through September 30, 2025. The purpose of the CDBG Program is the development of viable urban communities by providing decent housing and a suitable living environment and expanding economic opportunities principally for persons of low/moderate income.  This year, in addition to code enforcement activities, the City expects to continue funding activities that address the needs of those who are homeless or at risk of homelessness.  The purpose of the HOME Program is to provide decent affordable housing to lower income households, to expand the capacity of nonprofit housing providers, to strengthen the ability of state and local governments to provide housing; and to leverage private-sector participation.
